The Doctors

Dr. Gary Eng

Dr. Congdon was born and raised in Rhode Island. He attended the University of Rhode Island (BSc.) and the California College of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). His Podiatric Surgical Residency was completed at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In addition,  he obtained a Diplomate in Homeopathic Medicine from the British Institute of Homeopathy.

  

   After completing his education, he returned to Rhode Island to  open his own practice. However, the lure of the West was too great and he joined a large Podiatric practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He enjoyed serving on the surgical staffs on numerous hospitals in both states
 
   Then a family vacation brought him to Britsih Columbia and he found the combination of montains and ocean to be irrresistible. Dr. Congdon relocated to Victoria in 2004 and now practices at the Victoria Podiatry Clinic in the Lansdowne Medical Center and the Cook Street Village Health Centre, a multi-disciplinary clinic. When not in the office, Dr. Congdon enjoys biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and swimming.

 

   Dr. Congdon is a member of:

The Canadian Podiatric Medical Association,

The British Comlubia Podiatric Medical Association, The British Columbia College of Podiatric Surgeons,  The American Podiatric Medical Association and

The American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery.

   He also maintains licensure in British Columbia, New Mexico and Rhode Island. Dr. Congdon is on staff at both the Royal Jubilee and Victoria General Hospitals.

   Dr. Eng was born in San Francisco but grew ​

up in Vancouver.  After gr​aduating from the University of British Columbia (B. Sc.), he ​

headed back to San Francisco and attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.).  He then completed his Podiatric Surgical Residency at Wadsworth VA Medical Center/UCLA in West Los Angeles, California.

 

 

 Dr. Eng returned to Vancouver after completing ​

his training to start his own practice and has ​

been here ever since.  His offices are in Vancouver and Richmond.  When not in one of his offices, ​

Dr. Eng can usually be found on a tennis court​

or a yoga studio.  Tennis though, remains his passion.

The Canadian Podiatric Medical Association, ​

The British Columbia​ Podiatric Medical Association, 

The British Columbia College of Podiatric Surgeons The American Podiatric Medical Association,

The American Academy of Podiatric  Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine. ​

 

 

    Dr. Eng is on staff at Vancouver General Hospital and Forensic Hospital.  He had been the consulting podiatrist at Riverview Hospital and Shaughnessy Hospital before their closing.
